Greetings readers! As you might have noticed, I have been spending more time cooking and blogging recently, particularly making healthy recipes. However, after being so good, in order to balance things out, I think it's time for a well-deserved treat =)
Enter Natalie, the resident baker at The Gobstopper (a website which sells, among other things, Cadbury eggs) who agreed to draft the following guest post. Easter Nest Cornflake Cupcakes
With Easter round the corner, this tasty treat with a twist of retro sweets gets the seasonal thumbs up. It is probably the easiest ever recipe, looks great and tastes even better.
100g plain or milk chocolate
2 Tbsp golden syrup or runny honey
50g butter/margarine (not low fat spread)
200g Cadbury mini eggs
Makes: 12 nests
Melt the chocolate, butter and syrup in a pan over a very low heat.
Stir in the cereal until covered.
Line a bun tin with 12 cupcake cases.
Spoon the mixture into each of the cases.
Arrange 2 or 3 of the Cadbury mini eggs onto the top of each nest.
Chill in the fridge until set, then remove the cupcake cases and enjoy!
